About the Center
GZAAT Student Research Center
The GZAAT Student Research Center (GSRC), based at the American Academy in Tbilisi, supports students in grades 9–12 from every school and region across Georgia in conducting serious academic research.
GSRC has two distinct branches. The Student Research Program is a mentorship opportunity open to any motivated student in grades 9–12 in Georgia, regardless of their school or region. The GSRC Journal is separate and accepts strong research submissions from anyone; authors do not need to participate in the mentorship program.
Our Goal
GSRC aims to build a stronger culture of research among students in grades 9–12 by making academic mentorship, rigorous research, peer review, and publication more accessible. The center encourages students to move beyond conventional classroom assignments and engage with the process of asking original questions, studying existing scholarship, developing sound methods, and contributing work of their own.
